Objective of the Event: The objective of the activity was to connect current students with established professionals from the University and offer networking opportunities.

Description: Commerce and management Department of IIS (Deemed to be University) organised an "Alumnae talk" session as the part of orientation programme for postgraduate students at Ojas Hall . Dr . Shweta kastiya started the session by honouring the speaker , Dr. Shruti khandelwal with the momentum.

Dr. Shruti Khandelwal, HR consultant, CONSULT US. She is an Alumnae of IIS (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY). In the session she discussed about how ICG changed her personality and increased confidence in her . She shared her story how student's of her age group used to bully her and teased her because she was from Hindi medium. But soon coming in her semester four there was a personality transformation and self confidence in her .

Also , she shared principals of her life which really works for her : Never understamate yourself : You should be proud of yourself and believe in yourself that you are just perfect . Second principal connect the dots which means that life is full of ups and downs but you need to keep moving forward some and another day you will connect with all the dots and reach to your goals .

Third principal is deserve which means that you want everything in your life money , success etc but you deserve the things when you are capable of taking them . Fourth principal is being a nice human being whatever you are doing in your life you should be kind . Being a nice human doesn't cost anything so be nice . Principal fifth be Ambitious  do everything in your life because it's one life , so do everything grab every opportunity you came across. Trust is the sixth principal trust someone whom you have faith it can be anyone : Teacher , parents,  God and whenever you fall down hold their hand tightly . Now , comes the seventh and last principal underpromise over deleiverd means give your best .

She  also discussed  about the importance of communication and it's beauty, that how an effective communication skills plays a crucial role in one's personality development.

Outcome of the event: The session motivated the students to set their own principals of life and work upon them .
