Objective of the activity: To provide vocational training for ‘Mask Making’ to the students as part of community engagement activity.

Description: The Department of Management: HRM organized a vocational training program for ‘Mask Making’ to the students of MBA Sem II as part of THEIR community engagement activity. The resource person of the session was Dr. Sulekha Ojha, Associate Professor, Dept. of Textiles, IIS (Deemed to be University). Students were asked to bring following material for the activity:

·         Half meter or one meter cotton cloth(preferably printed on one side or both sides)

·         Matching thread

·         One meter thin elastic

·         Needle

·         Scissor

Dr. Sulekha taught the students on how make mask with live demonstration. A fabulous participation of all the students was observed during this activity and they made beautiful masks using their imagination and creativity. The students were further motivated to make more such masks and distribute them among the needy and destitute.

Learning Outcomes: As part of the community engagement Service, this activity enabled the students to enhance their vocational skills and make utility mask. They were further motivated to distribute these  mask among various underprivileged community members to inculcate in them the attribute of ‘Sharing is Caring’.
