Seminar on NIRYAT BANDHU SCHEME

Objective of the seminar: To understand various aspects of foreign trade policy and electronic data interchange.
Description: NIRYAT BANDHU SCHEME is an initiative of Government of India for mentoring youth and exporters in the field of international trade by reaching out to them through training programs. This scheme is mainly based on EDI i.e. electronic data interchange and FTP i.e. foreign trade policy. DGFT i.e. DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE is the agency of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India, responsible for execution of the import and export Policies of India. DGFT is responsible for implementing the Foreign Trade Policy with the main objective of promoting India's exports.
FOREIGN TRADE POLICY made possible with Digital Signature Certificate. Every organisation can apply for license online which means that they can also file documents electronically on the DGFT website. Digital signature certificate provides a high level of security for online transaction by ensuring privacy of the information.
Bank Realisation Certificate (BRC) is issued by Banks based on realisation of payment against export by an Exporter. Any firm applying for benefits under Foreign Trade Policy is required to furnish valid BRC as a proof of realisation of payment against exports made.
The seminar began with the welcome speech by DR SEEMA SINGH RATHORE and welcoming of our special guest SHRI SATISH RAINA in charge of EDI i.e. electronic data interchange and FTP i.e. foreign trade policy and MR NAVNEET AGARWAL the in charge of WTC i.e. world trade centre.
The whole seminar was divided in two sections. The First section was conducted by SHRI SATISH RAINA on electronic data exchange and foreign trade policy. He welcomed the esteemed gathering and emphasised on the importance of DGFT, Digital signature certificate, Filling of IEC and e-brc project. In his address, he also applauded the college vice chancellor, DR ASHOK GUPTA for his outstanding seminar in field of foreign trade policy.
The next section was taken by MR NAVNEET AGARWAL state coordinator, in charge of world trade Centre. He has given a best presentation on world trade Centre, Mumbai which cover each and every aspect of topic. They appreciate the audience with their energetic performances.
Both the chief guest made a detailed presentation on international trade which help the audience to find the right market for their product and explore the opportunities available to the exporters.
The audience raised several queries during the seminar and experts on the subjects answered their all questions satisfactorily. The seminar was successfully concluded with a formal vote of thanks to all the chief guest by DR. ANKITA JAIN GANGHWAL.
Outcome of the seminar: The students were able to explore and identify various aspects of Electronic Data Interchange and International Trade.
