Description : CII Yi Yuva Club and Department of HRM of the University organized a visit to Gosil Exports for MBA Sem I students. Gossil Exports is a trusted and renowned name in the world of exquisite jewelry. This visit provided students with an opportunity to learn and enhance their knowledge about the Gems and jewelry industry. Students became aware about how designers create innovative jewelry that are aligned with history as well as how social and economic factors have influenced designing. They learnt how a raw material is made into a final product. In Gosil Industries, main source of raw material is wax and old thermocol glasses are also used through which jewelry is made. Students were explained about the importance of polishing in jewelry and several methods which are used in jewelry designing. During the visit, students observed that how much patience and handwork is required to make a single piece of jewelry. They got to learn how an industry performs it's task and how the different departments works like CAD, Marketing, Production etc. Gosil Exports deals in both precious and non-precious stones and metals. The one thing that makes them different from other jewelry brands is their versatility in the designs. There were more than 500 workers working in this company. The process starts from designing, then a 3D image is created through software, and those designs are converted into the rubber/plastic molds and then if their clients pass the designs they are finally manufactured. Gosil Exports have a strong customers base in countries like America, European Countries etc .

Outcome of the activity: This visit increased understanding of students about functioning of an Industry
