Objective of the workshop: The objective of case study workshop was to help students understand the complexities of the real work and how the theories, models and research being studied can be used in practice.

Description: Department of Management: HRM & IB organized a case study workshop for the students of MBA. The resource persons for the workshop were Shailendra Singh Chauhan from Matrix Training solution and  Mrs. Ankita ( Sr. Training co-ordinator). It was a three day workshop in which the students learned to solve a case study which forms an important component of their curriculum.

Day wise list of activities that were performed are elaborated below: 

DAY 1 ACTIVITY:-

  • Inspiration, 3S (start, struggle, success)
  • SMARTER GOAL
  • Effective ingredients of goal setting
  • Management skills for MBA students
  • Introduction about case study 
  • How to solve case study
  • Situational case study in groups

  • Important parts of personality development and tips for personality grooming
  • E-mail Etiquettes

 

DAY 2 ACTIVITY:-

  • Solve case study
  • How to prepare resume
  • Tips for improving vocabulary
  • Tips for interview
  • Things to avoid at interview
  • Basic questions of interview

 

DAY 3 ACITIVITY:-

  • How to write a professional E-mail( activity among students)
  • Tips for group discussion
  • Group discussion activity among students

Outcome of the workshop: Students were able to:

  1. Diagnose what the problems or issues in the case are, and why they have occurred.
  2.  Consider a variety of solutions; and
  3.  Justify what you believe to be the best solution.
