Objective of the activity: The activity aimed to create awareness about environment conservation by creating eco friendly objects  and reducing conspicuous consumption.

Description : Ecovation- A DIY storage boxes and paper coaters making volunteering activity was organized by ConnectFor NGO to create awareness about the reuse of plastics on google meet. The activity highlighted following key issues:

•           To create awareness about stopping the usage of plastics.

•           To reduce the promotion of single-use plastics.

•           To promote the reuse, upcycling and recycling of plastics for better of environment.

Ms. Sanaa, Marketing Executive of the NGO demonstrated the process of making plastic bags and paper coasters using materials conveniently available at home.  A DIY guide of the materials required along with step by step procedure was shared with the students. It was a fun and engaging activity to learn closely about the environment by making use of the items in the house.

Learning Outcomes:

•           Reuse and recycle the plastics containers, bottles, bags to protect the environment.

•           Encourage the use cloth, newspapers/papers, jute and other material.

•           Creating awareness about the demotion of single-use plastics.
