Objective of the Event: The objective of the activity was to enlighten students about the significance of skill development for self and societal development.

Description: Department of Management, IIS (deemed to be university) organised a Guest Lecture as the part of Orientation Programme for Post Graduate students at Ojas Hall.

The speaker of the day was Mrs. Neerja Palisetty, Founder, Sutrakaar Creations. Dr. Deepika Singh welcomed the speaker, Mrs. Neerja Palisetty with memento.

 

In this session, she discussed about the management skills that students must have not only to become a good manager but also to utilize those skills for the development of society. She mentioned the most important skill that one should have been a Passion to do something. The session was very interactive, as she asked several questions from students like why they wanted to do a management course and what are their dreams. She also, guided students to think in a broad way and to start their own Startup which will help them as well as society to grow. She also shared an interesting fact which most of the people didn't knew that Paper waste is the third most pollutants on Earth. By recycling Newspaper, we could save about 250,000,000 trees every year. In conclusion, she advised students to be innovative and start working on their dreams and ambitions from today only by the proper utilisation of resources that they have. 

Outcome of the event: The session enabled the students to understand the importance of being creative and innovative.
